Seeds

Thank you for your interest in growing a Giant Pumpkin!

We are thrilled about how much enjoyment our Gargantuan Gourds and other Giant Fruit & Vegetable varieties are providing for our growing community!

The GENETICS in these award-winning and record-setting Atlantic Giant Pumpkin seeds are capable of growing the HEAVIEST PUMPKINS IN THE WORLD!!! These special seeds are being distributed to encourage more people to “Grow a Giant” and participate in BC’s ONLY Official Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) and Certified World Recognized Giant Pumpkin Championship! Click EVENTS page for details.

You may GROW and ENTER a giant pumpkin, giant squash, giant marrow, large bushel gourd, giant watermelon, giant tomato, long gourd, and/or field pumpkin. We have many of these (and more) giant variety seeds available.

ALL proceeds go towards fundraising for BC’s captivating FREE FAMILY FUN event!

Please email giantpumpkinsbc@gmail.com to request a list of seeds available.

2025 SEEDS AVAILABLE:

We have some award-winning 2025 Atlantic Giant Pumpkin seeds – 1 seed for $20, or 2 seeds for $35, or 3 seed for $50.

We also have “Prizewinner” (NOT Atlantic Giant) Pumpkin seeds that are in packs of 2 for $10. These seeds DO NOT qualify for GPC competitions, however they do grow the most beautiful orange pumpkins up to 350 pounds. This is a great choice for a child or family garden!

ORDER? Email giantpumpkinsbc@gmail.com to request your seed order. Please provide your name and Canadian mailing address, followed by your e-transfer to pay for your order. Thanks in advance for your patience. This is a hobby, and we will respond to you ASAP.

GROW? In British Columbia, Canada, seed germination and indoor seedling growth starts in late April, outdoor planting is in early May, and the growing season is from May to October, with Giant Pumpkins growing the most during the warm nights in August – some over 50 pounds per night! Click How to Grow an Award Winning Giant Pumpkin for our instructions on how to germinate your seeds and grow your Giant Pumpkin!

Fun Facts: How many PUMPKIN PIES do you think you could make with 1,000 pound Giant Pumpkin? About 333 pumpkin pies – YUM! Although, sugar pumpkins would taste much better. Best to feed the Giant Pumpkins to local wildlife – after harvesting the seeds, of course.

How many SEEDS do you think were in Scott Carley’s 1,427.5 pound Giant Pumpkin that placed 1st in BC and 725.5 pound Monster Green Squash that set the new BC Squash Record in 2015…?? 660 pumpkin seeds and 800 squash seeds – WOW!

    1. Hi Brandie! Thank you for your message. I have no record of your name or email address in our giant pumpkin database. I’m sorry to say that I have not received your self-addressed envelope. Please email your name and mailing address to giantpumpkinsbc@gmail.com and I will mail you some seeds along with instructions. Depending on the weather, the best time to plant is during the first 2 weeks in May, so you have lots of time to get started! Wishing you and the boys all the best! Be sure to follow our blog starting in May!
