Pacific Northwest Garden Supply Ltd was started by Steven Betts in 1993 with one store in British Columbia, Canada. Having previously worked in the hydroponics industry, Steven had a strong desire to learn and to get involved in the industry by supporting urban agriculture. Shortly after launching the first location, Steven brought on his first partner Justin Cooper to help him with the original PNW location. Since then, the Pacific Northwest has grown into a community of gardeners and growers, sharing knowledge and experiences with one another.
Xtreme Gardening launched in late 2008 as a new, retail division of reputable Reforestation Technologies International (RTI), Xtreme Gardening brings highly effective beneficial biological inoculants to the home gardener. RTI products have successfully helped plant over 750 million trees in 9 countries. Also restoring some of the poorest habitats known to man (strip mines, nuclear test sites, deserts, and barren wastelands) around the globe into lush, thriving ecosystems capable of not only sustaining life but producing bountiful harvests.
