In October, our Gargantuan Gourds are entered into BC’s Official Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) and Certified World Recognized Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Event (hosted in Langley, BC) and other GPC Events (hosted in nearby Washington, USA).  Then, Top Corporate Sponsors from the weigh-off events enjoy a 1,000+ Pound Giant Pumpkin to display at their place of business for 2 weeks following the events. Some of BC’s Top Giant Pumpkins are rented/donated to local businesses/foundations for display over Thanksgiving/Halloween. Then, the Giants are returned to the Growers to harvest their Award Winning Seeds. The leftover pumpkin is often used to feed our local wildlife. It’s not great for cooking since giant pumpkins are quite fibrous.  A collection of Award Winning Seeds from BC’s Top Growers are available for sale via GiantPumpkinsBC.com.  All money raised goes towards fundraising for BC’s Official Great Pumpkin Commonwealth (GPC) and Certified World Recognized Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off Event (hosted in Langley, BC).
